Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear or bring to my first horseback riding session?

Comfortable, fitted clothing, boots with a slight heel. Our program will provide helmets if you do not have a helmet of your own.

Do I need prior horseback riding experience to participate?

No previous experience is required! The Horses of Honor Equine Program is designed for riders of all skill levels, especially beginners, and instructors will guide you step-by-step through the basics.

How long does each riding session last, and what should I expect?

Session lengths vary depending on the set agenda for the day. For the first two sessions, you can expect to spend time learning grooming, handling, and foundational riding skills, with each session customized to your individual goals and comfort level. After the fist two sessions, each participant is placed in a program that is suitable to the individuals needs.
